Description
Photographed June 19, 2018 (two months since the first blooms on April 18, 2018) outside my studio in Monroe, Virginia (Blue Ridge Mountains), these ripening fruits belong to one of the two blueberry bushes on the property, planted by my late Nana (Katherine Hanson)! If you have never seen a blueberry ripen on the bush (or ever) they blush before they (a few days later) turn tasty blue. Here, one bush is offered to critters and bugs while the other is constantly fingered through to "claim" and has remained largely untouched.
