Description

My Grammy began this painting for my Mom, tracing her own arm and hand in the ASL for "I Love You" and painting it purple and yellow for the MN Vikings, my Mom's favorite NFL team. Also part of her ancestry, as we have relation with some of those who founded and built Viking, Minnesota. Grammy was unhappy with the purple, which even she knew was not the right Viking color, and abandoned the project. That is until a year or so later, RA convinced M.E. to complete it and Grammy gave delighted permission. After a purple base correction of the hand, I (M.E.) began to mosaic "tile" the paint drops in varying shades of yellow and purple respectively. A few white rays exist for contrast and to complete the sunshine and shadow look. It is a pleasure to share this with the world.
