2019-02-02 @ 2328 Mountain Time, on the way to Falcon, Colorado, beneath a traffic light that just turned green and bringing in distant oncoming and going traffic.

LLAMP, or Long-Exposure Light and Motion Photography was something I stumbled upon by accident on my drive from Virginia to Colorado in early January 2019. Trying to capture each state sign as we passed, the dark light offered a new delight of painting with light in motion. With the required long exposure of a dark subject, and trying to capture it while driving down the highway, each little bump in the road and wobble in my hand became a brushstroke of sorts. I started doing it on purpose ever since and find that speed and ambient light can play a part as surely as the long exposure and light subjects in or out of focus.
