"As a huge Fifth Element fan, I've begun a series of character fan-art, in the spirit of the film, with tribute to the dedication and time poured into it from the Artists who designed the look and feel of the film before reels ever began rolling. Diva Plavalaguna is an unforgettable character played humbly by Maïwenn Le Besco. While not originally cast for the film at all, I simply cannot imagine anyone else pouring their heart into an imagined being the way she did. Throughout painting this fan-art piece, I was moved into song and heard the lingering impressions of Inva Mulla Tchako (now Inva Mula) who sang the emotional song that introduced the starlight of the character. There were 5 shades of blue, not including the ones I mixed with those 5, which I used to paint the Diva, including a pearl, neon, and iridescent shade so, this piece changes in different lighting. The edges of this painting are painted in black so it doesn't require a frame." -M.E.

Thank you Kimberly! I am working on Korbin Dallas now, and the Mondashawans next. I'm thrilled with the progress of this series and I am grateful it sparks that glee chord in other admirers of the film. Thank you for your appreciation and time in letting me know!
