"Some Painters like to plan. They sketch and design a thoroughly thought-out idea before their pigment ever touches the canvas. I'm not like them. I prefer to dip my brush in the paint -be it whatever color I have left, or whichever I'm drawn to in that moment- and impulsively let it coat the canvas. I like to see where the paint takes me, and this time, it brought me to a mineral-like-deposit channel of colorful earth through which bubbles floated. I didn't know, when I painted the bubbles, that they would glow. I also didn't know what would be in them, but one after another, inspired by the colors they float over, I found landscapes and seascapes offered inside, and painted it so. Colored with a Chance of Reality is a one of a kind painting born of impulse and imagination, sealed for it's lifetime protection." -M.E.
